I just noticed that Jason Schwartzman of Rushmore will be in a new movie written by Steve Martin called Shop Girl, i think. Looking forward to seeing his acting after so many years of not doing anything major. Also looking forward to see how he does under another director.

maybe I’m just a sucker for a chick flick.. (ie- say anything, french kiss, the wedding singer ..etc) but i heard it was good and that JS did well. I kinda wanna see if Steve Martin can pull off a likable dirty old man:) gives us all hope… but then again, its just a movie.

I recently saw “I heart huckabees” where Jason Schwartzman has a lead role. It was pretty funny especially for a movie with so many Zen themes and has an all star cast. The character, Albert Markovski, is actually pretty similar to the Max Fisher character of Rushmore but with a lot more body hair. It’s worth a watch, but is no Rushmore (which was worth buying). I see in “Shop Girl” he plays a character named Jeremy. That’s sure to win over a few people.
