More Treasury agents track Castro than Bin Laden

I mean, this really shouldn’t be shocking. If Castro’s (or Fidel, as a reader of this site affectionately calls him) school of thought were to spread through-out south and central america, it would be bad news for just about every established politician in this country. The dialog about US foriegn policy towards Cuba isn’t about weather or not to press our thumb on them, but how hard.

Anyway, I think my point here was that our policy towards Cuba is so outdated. Off the top of my head, i’d say its the 3rd most outdated policy we have behind civilian guns and the electoral college.

I think Fidel should cash all those checks he’s been receiving as rent for Guantanamo bay (i’ve heard he doesn’t cash them as a point) and buy Fox news. I mean as long as he kept the meaningless content they fill their shows with nobody would notice the change in views.

Car sharing

Just read an article about the concept of “car sharing”
it seems interesting and environmental, you share all the expenses, such as maintenance, depreciation, insurance, and others with whole bunch of other people.
And the article mentioned that “this route is recommended as a money saver for drivers who travel less than 10,000 miles a year” and it seems that I’m in this category .. :-p

There’s even one in Philly, called Philly Car Share, www.phillycarshare.com
and also others:
like www.flexcar.com and www.zipcar.com and so on.

Hand wash, drip dry, insult president

this laptop bag company printed “we are sorry our president is an idiot, we didn’t vote for him” in french on the french side of the “care instructions” kinda funny.

Death sentence for Gaza rapists

This is interesting. I think this is the first news story I’ve seen that refers to the palestinians as group of people with a structured society and rules. Typically you get stories that cast them as evil terrorists or helpless victims. Both of these views are ignorant (although i’m not implying that reality is evenly in the middle)

Its unfortunate that a rape trial brought this to life. I’d certainly like to see more stories that cast them as a people with a home and a culture and a structure.

Screwed by the MAN!!

According to this post on “the register.” It looks like the record industry wants even more money from you. AAAAHHH!! Just when you thought the record industry could settle on downloading music for a reasonable price, the man spins you around, tells you to grab your ankles, and gives it to you good.
