Mars Rover Finds Iraqs Missing Weapons

After weeks of technical problems, and studying petty rocks, the Mars rover, Opportunity, has located what scientists believe to be Saddam’s WMD stockpiles.

Colin Powell displayed some of Opportunity’s photos at the UN, claiming they were undeniable proof that Iraq was storing the weapons on Mars.

White House press secretary Scott McClellan said “We’ve maintained all along that they were a threat, and this only confirms what we already knew.”

Still at question is how Iraq got the technology to travel to Mars in the first place. White House officials pointed to this as further evidence that Saddam was a threat to the US, “and everyone in the galaxy”.

In a surprising statement, France and Germany denounced Opportunity’s findings, claiming that the photos are of Mars colony supplies that the EU is secretly building, in order to beat “those damned Americans” to Mars.

Whitehouse officials were not available to comment on Old Europe’s claims.

O’Reilly flipping?

Not that I have any respect for him in the least. He’s been proven to be a liar at worst, and heavily strained with the “facts” at best. See Lying Liars by Al Franken.

But it is interesting that even Bill is changing his tune about Jr. taking us to war.

This is in today’s Philadelphia Metro PDF LINK. Page 11

Conservative television news anchor Bill O’Reilly, left, said
yesterday he was now skeptical about the Bush administration,
and apologized to viewers for supporting prewar claims that Iraq
had weapons of mass destruction. The anchor of his own show
on Fox News said he was sorry he gave the U.S. government the
benefit of the doubt that former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein’s
weapons program poised an imminent threat, the main reason
cited for going to war. “I was wrong. I am not pleased about it at
all and I think all Americans should be concerned about this,”
O’Reilly said in an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Good News

A friend forwarded this around.
The good news is about lubricants. There is a book called The Big Bang by Verve Magazine. And no, it is not about the origins of the universe. It’s about that other big bang. My eyes were opened by some great information about lubricants. I decided that you all need this information. First of all, they recommend water based lubricants because they can be used w/ latex products and silicone toys. They don’t recommend lubes containing glycerin because they can irritate the vagina. Also, water based lubes are tasteless (unless they are flavored), odorless, nonstaining and non-iritating. Here is a list of reviewed lubes. Have fun.

Cost of War Withheld From Bush Budget

Whats that you say? there’s a 7% increase in military spending? This may be good bad or neutral depending on your views, but here’s what they slipped by you: The huge military budget that we’ve set aside for the year doesn’t actually include money to be spent in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Gee, remember the good old days when you had to dig to find out what was going on in the world? Now even when you dig, it turns out that they are free to leave out whatever information they feel like.

Not unexpected

At the White House, President Bush said he missed the show.:
“Saw the first half, did not see the halftime — I was preparing for the day and fell asleep,”

— yep, that’s about right.
