Just some thoughts before the holidays, if your are into that sort of thing.
so this kid was found guilty of capital murder and terrorism. I don’t care too much about guilty or not, just the fact that he’s actually guilty of terrorism. what exactly does that mean? what exactly qualifies as terrorism? If some clansman was killing black people on a KKK crusade, would that be terrorism? If someone was just killing people with some pattern that only made sense to him would that be terrorism?
oh, and fuck you john ashcroft. the story mentions that ashcroft choose Virginia as the state for the trial because they have the death penalty “the ultimate sanction” or some such nonsense. I thought people were tried in the state that they commited crimes in. is D.C. some sort of wild card cause its not a state? anyway, i’m glad that the jurors aren’t as fucked up as Ascroft and apparently Malvo, and decided against the death penalty.

This post is to take a break from all the politics, and to give all of you incentive to make new posts, which will push this down the page.

Well, I think i would rather be killed than live life in prison. But then again, I’m not the type to go on a killing spree of “random” people either. So I’m really not the target demographic.
I don’t think that the state should be killing people though. Not unless we get some super sci-fi sh$t that can prove 100% guilt.
It’s not that I think the Death Penalty is wrong. I just don’t think that our system is capable of using it fairly. There fore it should not be used.
