Al who?

I find it interesting that the most down to earth and important speech Al Gore ever made was long after the ordeal in florida left him with no real career direction.

While his speech was a good one, in the sense that he had convictions and stated them strongly (regardless of whether you agree with them or not) it points to a problem with politics:

Why didn’t he have this sort of conviction while he was running for office? Most of the stuff I heard him say while campaigning was fluff compared to this most recent speech.

Gore’s recent return to the spotlight has me thinking about something. If he does in fact run in the next election, there are going to be many non democrat , non republican voters who will be afraid to vote for the candidate they think is best because of how close the past election was.

Because of that, there is less chance of any additional political parties getting the 5% they need to get government endorsement. I think that before the next election, this country should endorse two or more additional parties, so that the 2-party system we now have can progress to something that represents more people.

I’m no lawyer, but thats my 2 cents.

East Coast Inhibitions

I think i’ve been caught red handed with a bit too much time on my east coast time sheet and majorly lacking on my west coast time sheet.

you know how it is… you work with something everyday and it gets comfortable… switching to something else requires turning so much of that comfy stuff upside down.

Listen to me… isn’t breaking out of whats comfy where all the fun is anyway?

I will have to make a visit to the HR department tomorrow and find out how much vacation time I have.

Home Star Runner

my friend john sent me this web cartoon site… its pretty funny:

Home Star Runner

Update: all you fools how come here and tell me who your favorite character is, repeatedly are a disgrace to humanity. you should all go volenteer as human shields in one of the countries we are violating, or funding the violation of.

comments for this entry are now turned off!

hey there are some changes going on here

i’ve gotten over past my obsession with flash-y animated websites that look more like cartoons than documents. this is my new minimalist site. I recently read that before computers were common, the word ‘document’ had a significance to it, like an official legal document with a stamp of authenticity and all. then some early software company decided to use a more interesting word than “file” for the things you create and the generic use of the word ‘document’ was born.
