I find it interesting that the most down to earth and important speech Al Gore ever made was long after the ordeal in florida left him with no real career direction.
While his speech was a good one, in the sense that he had convictions and stated them strongly (regardless of whether you agree with them or not) it points to a problem with politics:
Why didn’t he have this sort of conviction while he was running for office? Most of the stuff I heard him say while campaigning was fluff compared to this most recent speech.
Gore’s recent return to the spotlight has me thinking about something. If he does in fact run in the next election, there are going to be many non democrat , non republican voters who will be afraid to vote for the candidate they think is best because of how close the past election was.
Because of that, there is less chance of any additional political parties getting the 5% they need to get government endorsement. I think that before the next election, this country should endorse two or more additional parties, so that the 2-party system we now have can progress to something that represents more people.
I’m no lawyer, but thats my 2 cents.

I’ve been meaning to ask you, was “intentsandpurposes.com” taken, or is this some sick joke I’m not privy to?

i choose intensivepurposes cause its what most people think they are saying or hearing when its really intentsandpurposes.
i also like the meaning of the utterance intensive purposes aside from the fact that it sounds just like intents and purposes.

Oh good. I figured you would have a reason.
You should get track back. Then we could play tag.
